Week 6 Be Kind Don’t Criticize

turtle2

“I will greet this day with love in my heart.”   ~Og Mandino

My routine has been thrown off from outside influence and life demands from others.  This  week has been harder for me.  I have one speed due to physical handicap, slow & steady, and when you add more on my normal routine I falter and flounder.

I admit I’ve missed some reads this week, but I am hanging in and just picking back up.  The unexpected is continuing into this weekend with several unplanned things, so trying to rearrange my schedule and expectations of self.  Love myself and have a little compassion on me, because I was thinking maybe I’m not ready for this but that is the old blueprint talking.

I am my worst critic with a tendency to beat myself up when I fall below my own expectation.  This week despite setbacks I am telling that negative self to shut the hell up and replacing that with kindness, compassion and love. My “spirit” is gregarious and loving.  I need to be as supportive and kind to myself as I am to others.   Learning to cope and adapt a turtle to the unexpected is sometimes extremely challenging.

Week 5 Was That An Opinion?

This not having an opinion is hard.  Sometimes I don’t even realize I gave an opinion then think what’d I just say?  Wait.  That may be borderline opinion.  Yeah I know borderline was wishful thinking lol.

I’ve been biting my tongue before speaking as I try to lock down on that more but still…  The thought is there.  I then think why’d you think that?  Examine it.  It is hard to catch every opinion since they come about every other thought, and sometimes it is much later you realize that was an opinion.

Having an opinion is as natural as breathing because we were raised in opinion and someone else’s perspective and world outlook and ways.  The world I have decided is one BIG OPINION and puddle of propaganda.:)leopard-1456554_1280

Week 5 Stage Fright

I’m struggling with writing my Press Release.  Several have written theirs and as I read some of the awesome press releases I am embarrassed I can’t figure out mine.  I get stage fright in real life so bad I blank out and don’t remember the event or what I did.

I guess I should shoot for a private interview.  Maybe that will make it easier to write.  I interview authors all the time on my other blog and writer platform, Writer’s Gambit, but having trouble pretending to interview myself for this.

Okay, I going to get back to it and try it again.   I’ll be doing another blog post soon for week 5 + Press Release.

Week 4 Success Is A State of Mind

SUCCESS IS A STATE OF MIND

Small Steps: Focus & Discipline

Lately, I’ve been pondering the suggestion that when we set goals and do not achieve them, or set them unrealistically and do not meet them, that we are actually training ourselves to fail, but when we set smaller realistic goals we are teaching ourselves to succeed or rather avoid failure with everyone we complete creating a path of habit.  That failure and success are just learned habits in the way we teach ourselves discipline and focus. Makes sense and why setting small goals or long term goals in small simple steps works.
Og Mandino:  The Greatest Salesman That Ever Lived
“I will form good habits and become their slave.”

“What they will teach me is more to prevent failure than to gain success, for what is success other than a state of mind? Which two, among a thousand wise men, will define success in the same words; yet failure is always described but one way. Failure is man’s inability to reach his goals in life, whatever they may be.”

Week 4 “I Can Be What I Will Be”

angel-habitdifferenceogmandino

“I will form good habits and become their slave.” ~Og Mandino

“Cease striving and know that I am God;” Psalms: 46:10 New American Standard   “Be still, and know that I am God:” Psalms: 46:10 King James

I’ve always loved the phrasing of these verses and the contrast in translation between American Standard and King James Bibles.

Be Still — 15 Minutes a Day  “If you cannot master your body then how will you master your thoughts?” ~MKE   That is the point being made in this exercise.

To be still is to cease striving.  Just be.  Just breathe.  Breathe is life, breath and feel the life within  It is in these moments that I feel closer to God and to spirit and understand what I can be and the need to unlock that elusive thing within me that will allow me to walk tall among men and begin a new life.

1:41.      In order to express life there must be mind; nothing can exist without mind. Everything which exists is some manifestation of this one basic substance from which and by which all things have been created and are continually being recreated. ~Charles F. Haanel

There is a lot of debate about creation, how long it took and the possibilities.   The contradiction  between the bible and science e.g. Darwin and so forth.    Then it occurred to me.  I get an idea.  I work with the idea over time to create the reality of it: be it a drawing, a story, build a house, build a computer, go to work and get a job done…      None of which happened over night or in a split second but it all started with a thought.

“Everything which exists is some manifestation of this one basic substance”–thought, mind “which all things have been created and are continually being recreated.”  Your day begins with thought from the moment you wake and ends with thought to the moment you still and sleep, even then the unconscious mind thinks.

The impossible?

Man flies in the air.  Man has walked on the moon.  Man walks around talking into a little gadget he holds in his hand connected to nothing.   What was imagination, just a thought, is now a reality.

God Thought and the Universe manifested.

Overcoming struggle.  Learning focus.  These things teach discipline.  All things are the lessons of life to carry us to that place of thought and where we will manifest our reality or not, but it begins within with a thought.  Be Still.  Look Within.

Manifestation begins with a thought upon which discipline and focus are applied.

4:9. If you cannot do these things it is because you have thus far not made the necessary effort. Now is the time to make the effort. The result will be exactly in proportion to the effort expended. One of the strongest affirmations which you can use for the purpose of strengthening the will and realizing your power to accomplish, is, “I can be what I will to be.” ~Haanel

I had my mother for such a short time.  Yet her words are imprinted on my mind, because she always said to me, “Juneta you can be anything, do anything that you put your mind to.”  Little did I know what wise words she had spoken.  I wonder did she know or was it just a principle that had been taught to her and took up residence in her mind?

“I walk tall among men and they know me not for today I am a new man, with a new life.” ~Og Mandino

Week 3 Let Your Light Shine

MOVING IS A HARD JOB

This last week has been challenging.  We packed and moved our residence.  We started packing October 3rd, postpone our scheduled move on October 6th and weathered through Hurricane Matthew.  Our final move occurred October 8th–Nine hours with movers that day.

We are still unpacking and trying to find things.  We packed and marked boxes to match rooms keeping them all together, hoping it would all load together, but things did not work out that way.  The movers mixed it all together to pack on the truck and then unloaded it into the garage in the same fashion to make it all fit.  This house is smaller than the one we were in.  Guess we will be getting rid of some things.  You can barely walk through the garage there is so much, so finding what you need has been a bit of a chore.

TECHNOLOGICAL ADDICTION

My internet was turned off on the 6th for our move which was rescheduled due to Hurricane Matthew.  The new service was not installed at our new location until today because of changing service provider and hurricane aftermath.  So happy to finally be back online.  It is amazing how much you miss it when you don’t have it.

MKE AND CHALLENGES

As the day’s progress in the Mastermind Key Experience, getting the readings in has been challenging at times but I have done pretty well, except the day of the move on Oct 8th.  I missed some readings because we were up at 6am packing and still going at 11pm that night trying to put it all back together.   The mix together by movers created some problems finding what we needed but it had to be done to get it all in the truck so not complaining, just saying.

LITTLE NEGATIVES CAN HIDE THEMSELVES IN THE PHRASING OF A POSITIVE

I have been learning that some things I thought positive phrasing were in fact not so positive in a useful way for my DMP.  Davene’s examples and explanations on week 3 brought more clarification and enlightenment along with my guides help.  I don’t know if I quite have it yet but my understanding is a bit better.  I am definitely realizing how different MKMMA is from LOA something I have been reading about for years but it missed key elements and points that MKMMA expands.

TWO TAKE AWAYS IN WEEK 3

I am not sure everything is clicking yet but my understanding is a tad better.  Sometimes when reading MK the older language makes you really have to think about it to grasp the principal, but two things stood out to me. Week 3 MK Lesson 13-20 readings.

  1.  Let your light shine.  A bit of metaphorical alchemy and transmutation only it occurs within you.  Let your light shine, is something my mother told me many times growing up and it is also a song I learned in church, “This Little Little Light of Mine”.  (See song below)
  2. We must practice life living in a positive manner to focus that light and direct it where we will for the betterment of ourselves and others.  The ultimate living is in the practice.

Week 2 Monday Blue Skies And Retangles

I did the chore card for the first time today as instruction and looked around for blue rectangles expecting to find them and immediately saw two.  One on a box I had just brought in yesterday and sat down in my room and the other on my mouse.  I looked up from card and BAM!  I saw it, looked down saw the mouse.  I did not notice either yesterday in Webinar when I tried looking around for blue rectangles.  Didn’t even realize there was blue on my mouse.  Odd and ironic.

Note:  I’ve seen 8 more blue rectangles since I wrote and posted this today about an hour later.

My conclusion:  All things come to us at the appropriate time and need, if only we are willing to see them and accept that they will.

Week 1 The Wisdom of Nature

While reading the master keys I found myself stopping and going back to number three, the method of thinking and then rereading the first three.

I thought about the first scroll and creating positive habits. It occurred to me that I practiced forming  habits-21 days or bust many times over my lifetime but mostly it was goal setting, tangible physical acts e. g. chores or exercise, work-school learning stuff but never for the method of thinking.  What I think about to some degree with work-school related learning but never about how I think, the manner and the words, really.   It is an interesting distinction.

This realization gave me a tangible physical sensation. I felt lighter somehow.

artofpatiencepixabyphoto

The sensation when I stop long enough to really ponder the words, holding them in my mind, rolling them around a bit was like savoring a chocolate-hazelnut coffee with real cream, no sugar.  The pleasure was in the taste left on your tongue, and in this case, it was the pleasure left on my mind.

Week 1 The Magic of Habit

WEEK ONE MKE – THE MAGIC OF HABIT

The daily readings are a lot like affirmations as taught through the Laws of Attraction where you are instructed to write a positive statement about yourself (or flip a negative to positive) or desire and repeat it daily out loud until you mind believes it.  Often recommended is standing in front of a mirror and saying it, so you see yourself because it helps your mind start to believe the truth of the words it is hearing with visual reinforcement associated with your own image.

SUSCEPTIBLE TO SUGGESTION

In one way, my rational mind does not like the fact that as a human I am so susceptible to suggestion, but it is a scientific fact, with lots of long term studies to back it up.   Commercials and businesses can make a killing on this fact and do.

LOSS OF ROUTINE OR HABIT

For me, the approach of MKE brought home to me in a more specific way how important habits, especially positive habits, are to the daily living.  I’ve been practicing the LOA for years with some success.  Some habits have stayed but many fell to the wayside in loss of habit  or routine, e.g. I stop due to any number of reasons that life kicked at me and my own lack of focus.

REAL CHANGE

Good habits not only make life easier but they help you accomplish more. I like the idea that good habits are the cornerstone of all success.  What that means to me is that people can make REAL and lasting CHANGE by creating a positive habit. 18 Tricks.  It is a matter of training the mind through repetition.  It takes work and time, but real change is possible.

angel-habitdifferenceogmandino

The hardest part is making yourself do the needed repetition that reinforce the belief of habit or thought process embedding into your mind.  It takes time.  It can get monotonous like a chore, which really is the point.  We have to do chores.  You just do them because they need to be done and you often do them without much thought out of habit.

Week 1 MKMMA Ready For A Reset

Tonight I attended the first webinar which included orientation and touched on the first lesson of the class.  It was long but I enjoyed it.  Guess that means is the first day of the Master Key Experience MKMMA for me.

Requirements so far done, although I am still working on getting my printer to print.  I may have to get a new one or go to the library, but I have not given up on fixing it yet.  I have all the other things although waiting for 2nd copy of The Greatest Salesman That Every Lived by Og Mandino to arrive.

Originally I set my blog up on free WordPress.com but decided to move it to my hosted site where I have my author platform website, which I have had for four years now.  Anyway, when I realized I could created a subdomain and have my MKE blog on my own site I moved it and deleted the free WordPress, which was actually messing with things connected to my author platform.  I am not sure why, but it did.

I also set up a separate twitter account from my author platform twitter, since I did not want to change or add words to the one I have had for four years. So,

  • Blog setup
  • Twitter setup
  • Orientation Webinar attended
  • Survey done
  • First blog post done when I post this
  • Working on DMP
  • Working on Schedule as well
  • Write out the Blueprint Builder
  • 1st Reading of Og will be done tonight last hour of my day, so I can ponder the words of wisdom.  I have read the first 7 chapter up to the first Scroll. Will also be thinking about my DPM.

They talked about Joseph Campbell and the hero’s journey, something I know a good deal about, since I have been studying Joseph Campbell for years in connection to my writing.  I have always had a strong interest in  personality typing Meyers-Briggs, but this was my first experience with the color code.  I am a BLUE.  My interests also included over the years the laws of attraction and the hero’s journey as presented by Christopher Vogler for writers.  This book is in my top 10 favorite books and holds a place of honor on my writing desk.

I liked the words create your own truth, your own reality by understanding who you are.  It is funny when asked, what do you want?  That is not so easy.  I can name a lot of stuff but its not my truth.  I’m not sure I really know what that truth is totally, or what I want deep down, soul deep.  It is something I need to think about.  Guess I will be doing that while writing my DMP.

They talked about a lot of things.  I hate that idea that I could be addicted to an emotional chemical reaction of loss, sadness and depression.  That is not who I am, yet I feel all that far too often in the last two years with all the sudden changes in circumstance and situation.  I definitely need to change (reset) my blue print.  The Box theory rocks and it is that, that makes me believe there is something unique here and worth my time and the work I will need to put in to complete it.

What do I want?

I want to reset my blueprint to joy and success as defined by my DPM.

Live, Love, Laugh to the treasure of Joy
